1. Mua Cave Viewpoint

Mua Cave is probably the most dramatic. At the top of the hill, 500 steps above the ground. Ma Yen Mountain is located in the Hoa Lu ancient capital cultural relic complex, and is the resting place of King Dinh Tien Hoang, who had the merit of suppressing the rebellion of 12 warlords to establish the Dinh dynasty.

Ma Yen Mountain is about 200m high, opposite the temple of King Dinh Tien Hoang. This is one of the famous destinations of Ninh Binh tourism. Because the mountain has a sagging shape in the middle and a high rise at both ends, since ancient times, people have called it Ma Yen, because it looks like a horse’s saddle.

From Dinh Tien Hoang temple, you can hike up 300 steps up Ma Yen mountain where you can see the King Dinh tomb and the best view down Hoa Lu Temples with Sao Khe river.

3. Bai Dinh pagoda – Stupa tower

Bai Dinh Pagoda – Stupa (Ninh Binh) has 13 floors and is 100m high. This is the tallest Stupa in Asia and is the place to worship the relics (ashes) of Buddha Shakyamuni brought from India to Bai Dinh pagoda in 2008.
